Sun City is one of the most famous and prominent resorts and casino, situated in the city of Rustenburg, South Africa. The Elands River and the Pilanesberg are lying on each side of the Resort. It was opened on 7 December 1979 in Bophuthatswana and continued to be there till 1994. The Sun City became a complete enjoyment destination as it not only provided a great holiday experience but also provides visitors with an equal amount of entertainment such as gambling, etc.
About Hotels:
Soho Hotel, Cascades Hotel, The Cabanas, and The Palace of the Lost City are the 4 hotels at Sun City Resort. Visitors have to pay a nominal visiting charge depending upon their age. Adults are charged R 75 whereas Children under 12 years are charged R 65 per child. Entries for infants and kids under 2 years are free. And, Hotel Guests can enter the Resort free of cost.
Casino:
Sun City Casino provides hundreds of slot machines and around 40 table games. The casino is open every day and ensures an exciting gaming experience for hours. The game rates vary from R 50 to R 10,000.
Sun City Golf Course:
There are two golf courses in Sun City resort, the Gary Player Golf Course and The Lost City Golf Course. Former is a par-72, 18-hole walking course which is among the top five ranked Golf Courses in South Africa. The annual Nedbank Golf Challenge is also conducted here. The Lost City Golf Course is a desert-style, par-72 18-hole, one.

Gary Player Golf Course:
As it is a strictly walking golf course, no carts available. The rates differ from R 330 to R 950 for each category. MVG diamond, platinum, gold members are charged separately. 9 holes excl halfway house lunch charges R 300 per individual.

Lost City Golf Course:
The rates are similar to that of the Gary Player golf course. Range Ball fares are R50. Rates for 9 holes excl halfway house lunch per individual is R 300. The Golf Club rates for 18 holes band 9 holes are R 400 and R 250 respectively.
Fun Amenities Available:
- Valley of waves and The Maze of the lost city are another popular experiences in Sun city. Valley of waves is a family-friendly water park. The Maze of the lost city is the largest maze in the southern hemisphere where you can have a lot of fun experiencing the outdoor adventure activities.
- There are plenty of child entertainment options available like Water world lake for tube rides and other water sports. They can have encounters with birds and other creatures in the animal world. Finders keepers and Stimela train are other popular options. Educational programs are also conducted at Kamp kwena for children aged 4 to 12 years.
